What a textbook I actually liked!?!

I took an online class and this was the textbook we used. I am not the biggest fan of online classes because if I have a book that isn't easy to understand I will e-mail my professors until the end of the term. This book explains things clearly. I think the only flaw is it didn't have the definition in the back of the book. Each chapter focuses on different aspect of advertising. It starts off with beginning of publishing and grows to current forms of marketing like Twitter and Facebook. There are many topics that I have lived through and I think that makes the book more interesting to read.

The online sections (code sold separately... learned that the hard way) were even some what engaging. The on-line aspects have videos that run and you answer question randomly about what you saw in relation to your chapter. A few were snooze worthy, but some (the under armour) were really interesting to watch. All-in-All I really enjoyed this textbook.

Balastar convinces her to come and meet his boss, Lord Cavacent. Recently relocated to Earth, the Sandarian clan included a handful of rogue Portal Masters. Kit has her own reasons for hating and fearing the Portal Masters, but she needs all the help she can get to save her planet. She reluctantly agrees to seek out Lord Cavacent's help, and his connections to the Galactic Trade Organization and its powerful military.

The Portal Masters' Guild on Sandaria has controlled intergalactic portals throughout the galaxy for centuries, and jealously guard their secrets. One of those secrets has kept Kit's home world under quarantine for nearly thirty years. But portals across the galaxy are failing and the guild is getting desperate.

Finding themselves bonded wasn't expected, but having a psi-mate had its advantages. Can Kit and Balastar free and entire planet and take down the Portal Masters without losing their lives in the process?

Amazing Series!!!

Liberation is book three in the Alien Attachments series by Sabine Priestley. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author.

This book centers on Balastar Alder and Kit Athorika. I am so happy Balastar got his own story. I felt so bad for him when things didn’t work out for him in the earlier book. And boy oh boy will you see another side to the proper gentleman you got to know when you first met him.

Balastar is in search of more of the black devices that can create portals called spatial distorters. This is how he first met Kit. They were both after the distorters when Torogs came after them. Kit’s first impression of Balastar was pure hotness in his pirate type clothing, and Balastar thought Kit was a dark haired beauty with her colored stripe down one side of her hair that constantly changes colors with her mood. The two of them are forced to lay low for awhile on Balastar’s ship. Hmmm, I wonder what they will do to pass the time. Balastar convinced Kit to come back to Earth with him to talk to the Cavacents about what has been going on with her home planet.

The connection is strong with Balastar and Kit but they are both convinced that it is nothing but chemistry. That they can both go their own way when it’s time and say good-bye. That’s what they thought anyway. But the psi-bond has begun, and when it is time to say good-bye, being away from each other does not work out…at all.

Things on the planet Sandaria are rapidly falling apart. The leader of the portal masters is gaining an appetite for power and hatches a crazy plan to take all the power for himself. He is kidnapping the Vertans from their own planet to create and maintain the portals. Balastar, Kit, the Cavacents, and the other earth protectors have to find a way to stop the madness, free the Vertans, stop the power hungry portal masters and restore leadership on Sandaria. During all of this, Kit and Balastar are exploring their new bond and let me tell you, these two are hot!

Kit and Balastar’s travels take them all over the place in the galaxy in their fight to free the Vertans and to save Sandaria and the portals. When Balastar took Kit to Earth and she met Ria and Dani, she found something she had been missing for a long time, friendship. It’s something she hasn’t been able to experience for so long with her own planet being in such turmoil. I really enjoyed getting to see more of all my favorite characters from the previous two books.

This book is a crazy, sexy, nonstop ride from the beginning to the end as this group once again puts themselves in danger to do the right thing, to free the Vertans and restore order on Sandaria. There are no slow spots in this book, it kept me turning the pages all the way through. I have really enjoyed getting to know all the characters I have met throughout these books but I think Balastar and Kit might be my favorite. I have loved this series from the start and highly recommend it.

Balastar Alder after the fall of the empire throws his hat in with the Cavacent clan when they travel to Earth. Balastar becomes a captain of his own ship trying to locate portals that work on a different type psi. He runs in to Kit Athorika from Vertan that can work the different portals while she is being chased by the Torogs for being a thorn in their sides. The Torogs have blockaded Vertan for many years for the leadership of the Portal Masters so they can control the portals and the power that goes with it. Balastar and Kit have an immediate attraction for each other and slowly realize they are psi-mates. They feel their way into a relationship while they bring down the bad guys and return freedom to the Vertans.

Any sci-fi romance reader will like Liberation because Balastar meets his match and Kit is definitely his match in all things.

Another great installment in the Alien Attachments series.

I tumbled headlong back into the world of Alien Attachments with this new book in the series. This story pits Kit Durnar with Baluster Alder and sends them on a quest to free her people, the Vertans, from the quarantine placed on the planet by the Portal Masters, and enforced by the Totogs. That they find love along the way is icing on top of a very adventurous cake.
The descriptions of the world, the action sequences and the love scenes are all done with remarkable attention to detail. The opening will grip you and hold you through the entire book.
This is the third book in the series, and can be read as a standalone. But you will most definitely want to read the earlier books.

Excellent introduction and explanation of Titanium Alloy. A much needed book to address the fascinating and rapidly evolving world of Titanium and Alloy. I found the explanation on Facebook and other social media integration to be the most useful. I look forward to even more advanced discussion of Titanium module creation and integration from iOS and Android SDK's in more books from Ricardo...Thank you

Must buy for an mobile developer

An amazing book - concise, clear and perfect for newer developers and experienced devs who are either used to using JS for non-mobile development and want to start creating apps, or those who have played with Titanium but wish to learn about Alloy.

I have a few books about Appcelerator's Titanium and other SDKs, and I'm confident this will fast become my favorite. Highly recommended.

Excellent start up book to be back developing again. I graduated from Computer Information Systems back in 2011, but working other areas i preety much forgot all the programming i used to love at college. This book is the ideal tool to make the comeback in a very self-explanatory format. Great tools to start putting the ideas in motion.

I would recommend it to everyone who would like to take a shot at the app-universe, without the pain of learning JAVA and OBJ-C, which are languages very complex.

A MUST READ!!

I reccomend this book to anyone that will listen to me. I should get a commision. It is full of health information and exposes the way the pharmacutical companies in this country are shoving medicine that we don't always need down our throats. Not to mention the chemicals that the government lets the food companies put in our food. These poisons are in everything. When you learn about it and start reading labels you will be shocked at what you are feeding your family!! America has the highest rate of many diseases and I strongly feel it is our "convenient" foods that are causing the problems. Other countries do not allow all the dyes and poisons in their food supply and are not as overweight as Americans. Not to mention we have the highest rate of ADD and ADHD than any other country in the world. Has to be the chemicals. You will see a difference in your families health if you read this book and put her advise into action.

I bought this book because...

I saw an interview somewhere with Ms. Sommers on her TV book tour. As the interview rushed to a close, she was trying to get in something about a rememdy for acid reflux. I HAD horrible acid reflux and should have seen a doctor long ago, but had been trying to manage with OTC drugs.

I waited for a few weeks for the Kindle version to become available and finally downloaded it and was able to search for what she had mentioned. I tried what the doctor recommended and in a little over a week, no acid reflux. I am absolutely astounded. I guess I'll have to read the rest of the book now, but I look forward to it.
